Bangkok Bloom
Bangkok Bloom is a multi-generational collaboration between American animation artist Kristin Donner and her seven-year-old nephew Donovan Austria. A Bangkok-inspired cityscape radiates outward from a central flower. Austria’s geometric lines form a variety of architectural designs, with a triad of triangular elements representing the rooflines of Wat Ratcha Orasaram Ratchaworawihan. Donner’s color scheme is inspired by palettes observed on the temple facade.

Kristin Donner is an adjunct faculty member at Laguna College of Art & Design and a Co-Executive Producer and Creator in Development at Nickelodeon Animation Studio in California.
